Progress Aero Works (P.A.W.) was founded by Joachim Gunther Eifflaender (nick named Gig by the family) in 1948

The mainstay of the business at this time was turned wooden model aircraft parts that Gig used on his own successful competition model aircraft. In 1951 he became European aerobatic champion using a model and engine designed by himself, this success led to Gig offering a range of model engines that are still produced today. During the 1970s Sons Paul & Tony joined Gig in the business and ran it together until Gig semi-retired in 2000. By this time interest in Model aircraft was in the decline and spare capacity on the machines was used to expand our engineering expertise into fresh areas. These new ventures include Aerospace, Medical, Textiles and full size engine work. We now also help local business with repair, re manufacture and consulting. Paul retired in 2012 and the business is now run by Tony, his son Chris and his wife Cathy.

Our aim is to provide a personal, comprehensive & competitive experience for our customers without compromise. We have 70 years of experience to share with our customers. If you have an engineering problem give us a call.
